The celestial Buddha oriented toward the southern direction, here flanked by two large standing bodhisattvas, white and gold manifestations of Padmapani, the most popular Buddhist divinity in Nepal, Tibet, and east Asia. He is surrounded by seated, crowned bodhisattvas above, and the other directional Buddhas on the bottom row.
